GoFundMe Campaign for Cliff Hollifield

As many of you know, one of our loyal employees, Clifton Hollifield, and his wife, Nan, lost their home, cars, most of their belongings, and several beloved pets to a mud slide caused by the devastating rains from Hurricane Helene. The house was pushed off its foundation into a pile of debris and rubble, landing down the mountain. They were both inside the house at the time and both were buried. Many of you have asked how you can help. Click here to visit a GoFundMe campaign that has been set up for them. Any help is greatly appreciated. No donation is too small. Thanks so much for your help.

Table Rock Production Yard

Our Table Rock production yard is recovering rapidly. A good deal of sediment and debris has been removed and we have hand-cleaned much of the materials we had staged prior to the flooding. Early this week, we will begin notifying customers of orders that are ready to be picked up. We should resume shipping operations later in the week. The office has resumed normal operations.

Materials are being recovered, cleaned and restacked in the following order:

  • Materials that were staged for shipping prior to the flood
  • Open sales orders that were received prior to the flood
  • Open sales orders that have been received since the flood
  • Architectural Series flats and corners that are in inventory but have not been committed to sales orders
  • Hand-split wallstone and landscape products that are in inventory but have not been committed to sales orders

Below are a few videos of the yard during and and after the storm:

Appalachian Production Yard

The Appalachian production yard sustained little to no flooding and very little damage. This yard has returned to normal operations. Completed orders can now be picked up and shipping operations have resumed.

Quarries

As reported in earlier posts, some of the local quarries sustained a lot of damage. Crews are working diligently to get them back online as soon as possible and we are feeling much more optimistic. Stay tuned for future updates. Below is drone footage of one of our primary quarries several days after the storm:
